No Ordinary Days

There are no ordinary days; they are extraordinary because we make them so.

Just as two snowflakes seem the same, but are different, so too, are our days.

They come one by one

like silken snowflakes

that grace our lives.

In the end, the flurry of white is a magical, beautiful storm like no other.

Each crystal glistens in the morning sun

sparkles of our presence

heaped in drifts of wonder.

It is snowing, days upon days, as we trudge or tarry to enjoy the view.

Let it snow, but may we find ourselves making snow angels

creating an arc between here and heaven.

There are no ordinary days; they are extraordinary because we make them so.

“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
