Break of Dawn

Whichever way you choose to go, there will be those who do not understand; choose anyway.

The walk you walk is yours alone; these are the steps that matter.

In life, there will always be questions; the answers must come from within.

Steer clear of the noise, the voices that drown out your own; remain a high-flying bird.

The wind currents will be so strong at times, you may feel you will drop from the sky; stay the course, know you will succeed in the end.

Time and again, you will have to start over; time and again, you may feel you are flapping your wings to no avail.

Know that the deep blue sky beckons; know you must make your own way, at your own speed.

The sweep of sky is endless; so too, are the dreams within your heart.

At the break of dawn, you set out again; the breeze in your soul is light and steady.

This lingering breeze will guide you, should you ever feel lost; no matter what, you will always find your way.

Whichever way you choose to go, there will be those who do not understand; remember, in that great patch of endless blue, there is enough sky, just for you.

Keep flying, high and steady, and the break of dawn will find you; the light will rise up from a lavender haze, the choices so clear, it will astound you.

John 14: 6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 1:4: “In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.”

  1. That is very beautiful, Linda!

    1. Life is a beautiful thing! Each day, that blue sky beckons. Each day, we get a chance to start all over again. 🙂

  2. Nicely done, Linda. Wisdom & truth. – Alan

    1. I do find that when I listen to my heart, the answers to questions are much clearer. Sometimes, we need a little quietude to hear those answers…

      1. That, “be still and know” command can be so difficult.

        1. You are so right! This is one of those things that takes daily practice! This is something I have to concentrate on when I go into ‘fix it’ mode, thinking I can solve all kinds of problems on my own. Not good. Only when I turn it over to God, does anything ever work out right.

  3. A lovely reflection!

    1. Thank you! Trying to focus on blue skies; despite the difficult times of this pandemic, so much to be grateful for!

      1. You have a marvelous way of finding blue skies, Linda!!!

        1. I am always on the lookout! 🙂 Life is not always easy, but when we search for the good, we are more apt to find it. On my worst days, in the hardest moments, when all I want to do is cry, I always think to myself, ‘tomorrow things will be better.’ This is my blue-sky theory of life, and like a cup of tea, it soothes a weary soul.

  4. Oh this is beautiful Linda. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you! We certainly have a blue-sky day where I live today! I am already dreaming of spring, but sometimes on these winter days with the crisp, cold air, and the sky like a deep blue china cup…I can just drink up all the goodness of this season!

  5. so inspiring, love this! and your sky photos are stunners 🙂

    1. Thank you! I took those photos several months ago. It was a picture-perfect day! 🙂 The sky right now is quite overcast with snow showers…

      1. then you had your camera ready at the right time … these snow showers will pass, keep warm!

        1. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  6. Thank you. ABSOLUTELY lovely. Glad I dropped by.
