Easter Morning

I cannot remember a more beautiful spring; the earth has awoke from the deep sleep of winter.

Outside my window, my crabapple tree is a showy spectacle; there is all that spring snow, pure white blossoms, drifting to the ground.

There is the dance of the birds from tree to tree; they are not sure where to land.

Perhaps, that is because each tree holds beauty and mystery; every limb touched by divine grace.

I tilt my head to the rising sun; I watch the miracle of a new day dawning.

There is only the light, and the knowing that the night is past; the time for sleep has come and gone.
