Love Letters

Wishing you this day all the love letters your heart can hold; may the music of life fill your soul in a sweet communion.

Like the sea that dances upon the shore, may your feet dance all the days of your life; when you look up at the sweep of blue sky above, remember who you are.

You are as free as the sea gulls who fly overhead, knowing the sanctuary of open spaces; home is a sacred place we find within, and then, we soar.

God gave us His music; He wrote His name upon our hearts.

And so we dance beside a sun-lit sea, a sea fit for eternity.

There in the deep-blue waters of life, the love letters rise above every storm.

The wind blows steady, but our course is set, the maiden voyage won.

The letters they glitter bright in the darkest of nights, stars that lead us home again and again.

We are not strangers to the rise and fall of the tide; still, the music is our guide, a lullaby that never ends.

Linda Raha is a Christian writer who has kept a journal for a great many years. The journal entries are a mix of poems, reflections, and anecdotes on any number of topics. For Linda, the theme of the sea is a recurring one. Her love of the ocean and spending time there manifests itself in much of what she writes.

  3. Linda, this post is a heaven sent love letter! How beautiful. I love your poet’s heart. Your opening line washed over me like a wave of God’s love. “Wishing you this day all the love letters your heart can hold; may the music of life fill your soul in a sweet communion.” Thank you for reminding me of all the love letters God has written with His own hand in the beauty of His creation. May our hearts overflow. How He loves us! Bless you, sister!

    1. Thank you Melissa! Wishing you God’s blessings this day and every day. To God, our hearts are an open book. The pages are full of His promises, His never-ending love. The more we surrender the book to His wisdom, the happier we are. It is hard to let go, but the manuscript He writes for us is perfect.
